Abstract
An epidemiological study was purposed for the 1,227 cases of Epidemic hemorrhagic fever which- have been occurred since 1961, basing upon the geographical, distribution, immunological and ecological points of the -disease. Following conclusions were drawn out;
1. It is reasonable to conclude that all areas of the First Korean Army are of endemic for this disease and the great majority of the cases (77.3%) is from the so-called Triangle of Iron which comprises Chul-won¢¥ Po-chun, Yun-shun and Wha-chun counties.
2. Almost none of E.H. fever cases have been reported from the area eastern of the Mt. Taeback, - acid southern of the Parallel line 37¡Æ5¢¥.
3. Southern part of the Massive endemic area
(Triangle Iron) comprises much more cases than northern part in 1965 compared to the year of 1964.
4. The length of serviced period in army does not influence significantly to the attack rate. Five civilian patients were all of indigenous population.
5. About 12.4 per cent of cases during the autumn peak, 1965 swore not to have any chance of exposure.
6. No significant differences in the attack rate between officers and enlisted soldiers were found.
7. Almost every massive rainfall period seems to have been followed by a peak of E.H. fever.
8. Massive outbreak of the cases does not require necessarily dry seasons.
